
Sariska
is a paradise rich in natural heritage with some enchanting lakes and
picturesque valleys thickly wooded in parts. Inside Sariska, you will find
many tourist attraction that includes places lake Sariska Tiger Reserve,
Sariska Palace, Silserh Lake. Each one having its holding a unique
importance in the field on Sariska Tourism.

Sightseeing Overview
Sariska National Park
Located in Rajasthan, Sariska National park, was declared a sanctuary in
1955. It came under the Project Tiger in 1979 and became a national park in
1982. The park endorses few tigers and other interesting flora and fauna.
There are also historical ruins and monuments within Sariska's confines that
are symbolic of its past.
You will be able to locate Herds of sambar, chital, nilgai and sounders of
wild boar. Sariska is known for Tigers but it won't be easy for you to
located them. Other carnivores include the hyena, jungle cat, and caracal.
Interestingly enough, the dhole or wild dog has been sighted in the Park
only in the last few years.
Populary known for Tiger, the puma species coexist along with other
wildlife including the Leopard, Panther, Jungle Cat, Jackal, Hyena, and Fox,
inhabit the Sanctuary. In an endeavor to make Sariska more animal-friendly,
the authorities have plans to create artificial waterholes, divert the roads
that disrupt the serenity of the Reserve and find ways to curtail the
biggest threat, poachers
Silserh
Lake
The scenic Silserh lake is situated near the Sariska tiger reserve. On the
banks on the lake, you will find a beautiful palace built by Maharaja Vinay
Singh in AD 1845 for his queen Shila. The lake makes an interesting picnic
spot and also offers you options of boating and sailing. The palace here has
been converted into a tourist resort for the convenience of the visitors.
The crocodiles are the major inhabitants of the lake.
Vijai Mandir Palace
Built by Maharaja Jai Singh in 1918 A. D. , Vijai Mandir Palace is an
enchanting palace that overlooks the picturesque lake.
