the markets of Old Delhi, on the other, you can pick some of the finest
leather designer wear from the markets of Agra. Rajasthan, the land of
legendary monarchs, has an abundance of garrisons, castles and cenotaphs to
feast your eyes upon. Exquisite forts and palaces in the city of Jaipur
enrich your experience all the more. The package comes as a blessing for
those who are in search of a short trip and desire to acquaint themselves of
the old world charm that stirs hearts even today.
Day 1 : London
We fly from London Heathrow in the morning through the British Airways to
Delhi. The direct flight arrives at Delhi's IGI Airport late in the evening.
On reaching Delhi, the company's representatives receive you warmly and
escort you to the Oberoi Maidens or a hotel of the similar category where
your stay has been organised. A traditional welcome awaits you at the hotel
as you enter the lobby. Recharge your muscles and say goodbye to jet lag.
Day 2 : Delhi
Have a relaxed nutritious breakfast. Get to the activity area of the hotel
and spend some time at leisure. Get refreshed at noon and have a delicious
Indian lunch. After the lunch, the travel assistant takes you out on a city
tour of Old Delhi, the erstwhile stronghold of the Mughal empire. Visit the
Jama Masjid, the Red Fort and the Raj Ghat, the burial site of Mahatama
Gandhi, the Father of Nation. Later, your guide leads you on a leisurely
stroll through the bustling markets of the Chandni Chowk where you can still
feel the medieval charm. Get back to the hotel and relax. Freshen up and
move to the dinning hall for a toothsome dinner. Stay overnight at the
hotel.
Day 3 : Delhi
A private cab waits outside as you relish your breakfast. Eat up and get
ready to begin your day with morning visits to the Humayun's Tomb, Lotus
Temple, Qutub Minar, India Gate, Rajpath etc. Later, the travel manager
escorts you back to the hotel. Freshen up and the lunch is served. Spend
some time at your convenience in the activity area. At nightfall, freshen up
and get to the dinning hall for a delicious dinner. Stay overnight at the
hotel.
Day 4 : Delhi - Jaipur
Your private chauffeur-driven car awaits you outside as you have your
breakfast. The travel guide takes you on a drive to the pink city of Jaipur
(260 km), the capital of Rajasthan. Lunch is served on board. On arrival,
your guide escorts you to the Samode Haveli or the Alsisar Haveli where your
stay has been booked. See and experience the interior carvings and
embellishments. Relax and spend some time at your convenience. Enjoy a
traditional Rajasthani dinner in the exclusive dinning hall and stay
overnight at the hotel.
Day 5 : Sightseeing of Jaipur
After you have had a relaxed breakfast in the morning, the travel manager
takes you out a full sightseeing tour of the city. The maharajas that ruled
Rajasthan in valour and style left the region with plentiful supply of
architectural attractions. Sightseeing includes such famous attractions as
the City Palace, the Hawa Mahal, the Jantar Mantar Observatory and the Sawai
Mansigh Museum. A royal elephant ride at the Amber Fort, a big draw for
tourists, is also included. Eventually, the travel guide escorts you back to
the hotel for dinner and a nightlong stay.
Day 6 : Jaipur - Agra
Take your breakfast and be ready to set out on a drive to Agra as the
air-conditioned coach is waiting outside. The travel accompanies you on the
drive. Advancing towards the city, you also get to visit the deserted city
of Fatehpur Sikri built to epitomise the supremacy of the Mughal rule in
India. However, the city was abandoned due to inadequate supply of water. On
reaching the city of Agra, the travel assistant leads you to Hotel Clark
Shiraz or a hotel of the same category. An ethnic dinner and your nightlong
stay have been scheduled at the hotel.
Day 7 : Sightseeing of Agra
Have
a delicious breakfast and then start with a morning visit to the Taj Mahal.
The company's representative accompanies you on the trip and equips you with
some good pieces of information. Shower your day with the soulful sights of
the Taj. Later, the guide takes you to visit the Agra Fort. In the
afternoon, you can begin on a shopping spree through the markets of Agra.
Buy yourself some interesting items of leather. Later, get back to the hotel
for a luscious dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 8 : Agra - Delhi
Today, we leave Agra and head to Delhi. A room has been arranged for your
use here. Later, the travel manager ensures your timely transfer to the
airport to connect to your flight to London, scheduled just after midnight.
Day 9 : London
We fly back to Heathrow to arrive the same morning.
