Day 1 : London - Delhi
Catch a British Airways flight from Heathrow in the morning. Arrive at
Delhi around midnight. The private chauffeur driven cab is waiting outside
the airport. Get into the cab and the company's representative escorts you
to Hotel Imperial or the Oberoi. Relax and recharge your muscles for the day
ahead.
Day 2 : Sightseeing of Delhi ( To Jaipur in
the evening)
The air-conditioned coach is waiting outside the hotel as you relish your
breakfast. So, eat up and get ready for a morning sightseeing of the city.
Attractions include the Red Fort, Jama Masjid and Raj Ghat, the burial site
of Mahatama Gandhi, the Father of Nation. In the afternoon, the travel
assistant escorts you to Safdarjung Enclave to board the Palace On Wheels.
The train leaves for Jaipur. Dinner is served on board. Overnight in the
train.
Day
3 : Sightseeing of Jaipur (To Jaisalmer in the evening)
Have your breakfast and get ready for a sightseeing trip of Jaipur.
Brighten up your day with a royal elephant ride at the Amber Fort. Later,
visit such famous attractions as the City Palace, Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar
Observatory and the Sawai Man Singh Museum. Get back to the train. Relax and
have an ethnic Indian dinner in the elegantly appointed dinning room. The
train now advances towards Jaisalmer. Overnight in train.
Day 4 : Sightseeing of Jaisalmer (To Jodhpur in the evening)
Wake up as your are in Jaisalmer. Have your breakfast and start on a visit
to the Jaisalmer Fort. Explore the other attractions of the city. At noon,
have a luscious lunch. In the evening, the travel guide takes you on a camel
safari to the Sam sand dunes. Once here, keep observing as a single gush of
wind would be enough to change the facade of the dunes. Get back to the
train. Now, the train departs for Jodhpur.
Day 5 : Sightseeing of Jodhpur (To Sawai Madhopur in the evening)
Wake, freshen up and have your breakfast. Get ready for a morning
sightseeing of Jodhpur. Visit the Mehrangarh Fort and the Jaswant Thada. Get
back to the train. Spend the afternoon at your convenience. The train now
heads to Sawai Madhopur, 11 km from the Ranthambore National Park. Savour a
luscious Indian dinner on board. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 6 : Sawai Madhopur (Game viewing at Ranthambore)
Have your breakfast. Get ready to head towards the Ranthambore National
Park. Enjoy closing at close quarters wildlife species like tiger, leopard,
chinkara, sambar, Indian gazelle, wild boar, sloth bear, striped hyena,
spotted deer etc. Later, the train departs for Chittaurgarh, the largest
fort in Rajasthan.
Day
7 : Sightseeing of Udaipur (To Bharatpur in the evening)
The air-conditioned coach is waiting outside as you relish your breakfast.
Get into the coach and start on an excursion to the lake city of Udaipur.
The travel guide accompanies you on your visit to the City Palace Complex.
Also feast your eyes on the royal antiquities displayed in the museum. Get
back to Chittaurgarh to board the train. Relax and freshen up as the dinner
is ready for you. The train moves towards Bharatpur. Overnight in the train.
Day 8 : Bharatpur - Agra (To Delhi in the evening)
Have your breakfast. Get ready for a morning visit to the Bharatpur Bird
Sanctuary. Feast your eyes on such exotic bird species as the Siberian
crane, golden oriole, cormorant, heron, teal etc. Later, get ready for a
visit to Agra. Get into the private chauffeur drive cab. The travel
representative guides you on your visit to the Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort.
En route, visit Fatehpur Sikri, the erstwhile capital of Mughal emperor
Akbar. Later, get back to the train for our journey back to Delhi. Relax and
have some rest. Enjoy a luscious Indian dinner served on board.
Day 9 : Delhi
Have your breakfast on board. The guide now escorts you to the Imperial
Hotel or the Oberoi. Relax and spend some time at your convenience. Get to
the activity area and enjoy your time. Later, the travel manager transfers
you to the airport for your flight to Heathrow just after midnight.
Day 10 : London
We fly back to London to arrive the same morning.
