compiles a variety of experiences to capture your imagination in so many new
and exciting ways. Feel the heart beat of India at Delhi and advance towards
the regal state of Rajasthan that the monarchs of yore rules with
besprangled fists. Purify your souls at Pushkar and then move on to
Khajuraho to be witness to the ace craftsmanship that flourished during the
10th century when the Chadela kings ruled supreme. The journey is not over
yet as a trip to Varanasi, home to one of the earliest civilisations in the
world, is also on the cards.
Day 1 : London - Delhi
We fly off to Delhi from Heathrow by the British Airways. The flight leaves
in the morning to arrive at Delhi around midnight. Upon your arrival in
Delhi, the company's representative escorts you to Hotel Grand
Intercontinental or a hotel of the similar category for check in and a
traditional welcome.
Day 2 : Sightseeing of Delhi
Freshen up and have your breakfast at the hotel. Get to the activity area
and spend some time at your convenience. Enjoy an ethnic Indian lunch in the
exclusive dinning hall. Get ready for a post lunch sightseeing trip of the
city. Your guide takes you to visit attractions like Jama Masjid, Red Fort
and Raj Ghat. Also take a leisurely stroll through the bazaars of the
Chandni Chowk to soak in the medieval flavour. Later, the travel guide
accompanies you back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3 : Delhi - Jodhpur

Have
a nutritious breakfast and enjoy the amenities of the hotel. Spend the day
at leisure. In the evening, get into the air conditioned coach and transfer
to the New Delhi Railway Station for your train to Jodhpur, 604 km from
Delhi. Get on board either the Mandore Express or Jhelum Express. Travel in
the air-conditioned sleeper compartment. Dinner is served on board.
Day 4 : Jodhpur
After an 8-10 hours rail journey, arrive at Jodhpur in the morning. The
private car is waiting outside the station. The travel assistant escorts you
to the Ajit Bhawan Palace for check in. Refresh yourself and be delighted at
the traditional interior decoration of the hotel. Get to the dinning room
and have a princely Rajasthani lunch. Later, your guide takes you out to
visit the imposing Mehrangarh Fort and the stately Jaswant Thada. Your
dinner and overnight stay are scheduled at the hotel.
Day 5 : Jodhpur - Udaipur (Visit Ranakpur en route)
Have an early morning breakfast. Get into the private chauffeur driven car.
The travel manager leads you to Ranakpur before we head towards Udaipur, 266
km from Jodhpur. Explore the ancient Ranakpur temples, 500-year-old Jain
temples and an important centre of pilgrimage. Later, the private car
proceeds towards Udaipur, the 'City of Dawn'. Get welcomed by the sights of
beautiful lakes, dream-like palaces and landscaped gardens. The travel guide
then escorts you to Shikarbadi, an erstwhile hunting lodge of the Maharana
of Udaipur. Refreshen and explore the ethnic décor. At nightfall, get
to the dinning room for a special Rajasthani dinner. Stay overnight at the
hotel.
Day 6 : Sightseeing of Udaipur
The A/C coach awaits you outside the hotel as you relish your breakfast.
Eat up and get ready for a sightseeing trip of the city that is one of the
most romantic in India. First, the travel assistant leads you to the City
Palace, the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. The fancy antiques at the
City Palace Museum are truly a treat for your eyes. Next, your guide leads
you to the Saheliyon Ki Bari. Here, take a walk through the wonderfully laid
out gardens. Also get to see the Jagdish Temple. Spend the afternoon at
leisure. Get back to the hotel for a dinner a la royalty and a nightlong
stay.
Day 7 : Udaipur - Pushkar

Get
up, refresh and the breakfast is served. Get into the air-conditioned coach
awaiting you. The guide accompanies you on a drive to the sanctified city of
Pushkar, 280 km from Udaipur . Enjoy pleasurable sights of mud-built houses
with thatched roofs. On arrival, your guide takes you to the Pushkar Palace
for check in. Refresh and get ready for a trip of the city. Pushkar is the
venue for the largest camel fair in the world, held during October/
November. Pay visit to the only Brahma Temple in the world and get to the
Lake Pushkar where a single dip purifies all the impurities of the soul.
Later, return to the Pushkar Palace where your dinner and overnight stay
have been organised.
Day 8 : Pushkar - Jaipur
Today, we head to the pink city of Jaipur, 145 km from Pushkar. En route,
Pay your tributes at the Dargah of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti in Ajmer,
13 km from Pushkar. The Dargah Shareef at Ajmer is one of the most revered
pilgrimage centres of the Muslims. However, devotees flock to the site
regardless of their cast and creed. Resume the journey towards Jaipur. On
arrival, the travel assistant accompanies you to either the Alsisar Haveli
or the Holiday Inn where we have arranged your dinner and overnight stay.
Day 9 : Sightseeing of Jaipur
Wake up, wash and have your breakfast. Next, get into the private cab as
your guide takes you out on a sightseeing trip of Jaipur. Start your day
with a royal elephant ride at the imposing Amber Fort. Later, move on to
feast your eyes upon such famous sights as the Hawa Mahal, the City Palace,
the Jantar Mantar Observatory and the Sawai Man Singh Museum. Watch
labourers at work at a small block printing factory. Return to the hotel for
an ethnic dinner and a nightlong stay.
Day 10 : Jaipur - Agra

After
an early morning breakfast, we start on a drive by an air conditioned coach
to Agra, 260 km from Jaipur. En route, get to visit the ghost city of
Fatehpur Sikri, 40 km west of Agra, that was abandoned for want of water. We
resume our journey to Agra and after reaching the city, the company's
representative escorts you to Hotel Mughal Sheraton where your dinner and
overnight stay have been arranged.
Day 11 : Sightseeing of Agra
Get up, wash and have your breakfast. Get into the private cab waiting
outside the hotel. Start your day with a morning visit to the chimerical
Taj. A dream in white, the Taj Mahal makes a splendid scene as it reflects
the rays of the morning sun. Also try to know the history and as you become
cognizant of the interesting love story that has led to this extravagant
constructions, hordes of vivid images are bound to flash across the screen
of your mind. Next, awaiting you is the Agra Fort, built in red sandstone.
Rest of the day is to spent at leisure. Enjoy an ethnic dinner at the
pre-booked hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 12 : Agra - Khajuraho
Get refreshed, have your breakfast and then board the private car to
transfer to the railway station for your train to Jhansi. A 2½ hours
rail journey by the Bhopal Shatabdi Express gets you to Jahnasi. On your
arrival at Jhansi, the company's representative leads you on a short drive
to Khajuraho, a famed Heritage Site. The erotic sculptures at the temples
are one of the finest gifts of love to the world. Dinner and overnight stay
have been organised at Clark Bundela or Jass Hotel.
Day 13 : Khajuraho - Varanasi
Have your breakfast. Eat up and start on a visit to the titillating
sculptures of the Khajuraho temples. Carved during the 10th century, these
images and sculptures are testimony to a master craftsmanship and a fully
matured civilisation. Later, in the afternoon, the travel manager escorts
you to the airport for your flight to Varanasi, also popular as Benaras or
Kashi. On reaching the sacred city, the guide takes you to Radisson Hotel
for check in. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight
stay are arranged at the hotel.
Day 14 : Varanasi - Delhi

Have
an early morning breakfast. Get ready as the private chauffeur driven car is
waiting outside. Brighten up your morning with a dawn boat ride along the
divine waters of the Ganges. As you sail along, you get to see the devotees
at the ghats busy praying and performing ablutions. An excursion to Sarnath,
the site where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon, is also on the cards.
In the evening, the travel assistant escorts you to the railway station for
your train to Delhi. Stay overnight in the air-conditioned sleeper
compartment. Dinner is served on board.
Day 15 : Delhi
Arrive at Delhi in the morning after an 8-10 hours train ride. A room has
been arranged for your use. Refresh yourself and get ready for your flight.
The travel manager escorts you to Delhi's IGI Airport to connect to your
after midnight flight to London Heathrow.
Day 16 : London
We fly back to Heathrow arriving the very morning.
