Overview :

The
tour package 'Rendezvous with Bengal Tiger' has a number of chilling
encounters awaiting you in the jungles of India. While on the one hand you
get to explore some of the most exotic and endangered animal species of
India, on the other, you feast your eyes upon the pristine flora. Get into a
canter or a jeep and start on your hunt into the wilderness of such huge
tiger reserves as the Ranthambore, Bandhavgarh, Kanha and Pench. Stay at
well-heeled wildlife resorts and load yourself with an abundance of tiger
lores. Our hand picked escorts and specialised guides are always there to
pay head to the least of your requisites.
Day 1 : London - Delhi
We fly to Delhi from Heathrow in the morning by the flight of British
Airways. Arrive at Delhi's IGI Airport around midnight. The company's
representative receive you warmly and escort you to either Park Royal or
Grand Intercontinental for check in. A traditional Indian welcome is
awaiting you at the hotel. Relax and recharge your muscles for the day
ahead.
Day 2 : Delhi - Ranthambore
Wake, freshen up and the breakfast is served. Get into the private cab
that's waiting outside the hotel. The travel manager accompanies you to the
railway station for your train to Sawai Madhopur, 450 km from Delhi. A 7-8
hours rail journey takes you to Sawai Madhopur. On arrival, the travel
assistant escorts you to the Sawai Madhopur Lodge. Take some rest, get
refreshed and observe the surroundings. Later, get to the dining room for a
delectable Rajasthani dinner. Stay overnight at the lodge.
Day 3 : Game Viewing at Ranthambore
Brighten up your day with a nutritious breakfast at the lodge. Get ready as
the travel guide now takes you to the far-famed wildlife refuge -
Ranthambore National Park. A short drive of 14 km and you are at the park.
Get into the jeep or canter and penetrate into the wilderness. Here, as you
will observe, rocky hills line up and dry deciduous forests cover the park.
Start on your hunt for the Bengal Tiger and spot wildlife species like
sambar, deer, nilgai, gazelle, panther, striped hyena, jackal etc. Explore
the exotic floral species. Later, the guide accompanies you back to the
lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4 : Ranthambore to Bharatpur

Relish your breakfast. Enjoy some more game viewing at Ranthambore in the
morning. Later, the travel representative transfers you to the railway
station on time to catch your train to Bharatpur, 225 km from Ranthambore.
After a 3 hours train journey in the air-conditioned sleeper compartment,
you find yourself at Bharatpur. On arrival, your guide escorts you to the
Laxmi Vilas Palace where your stay has been booked. Relax and take some rest
at the palace. In the afternoon, the guide takes you to the sanctuary for
bird watching. The park boasts around 300 species and is the only wintering
ground in India for the exotic Siberian Cranes. Other species include
cormorant, spoonbill, quail, coot, heron, teal, tern, egret, pelican, ibis,
snakebird etc. Later, return to the palace hotel for an ethnic Rajasthani
dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5 : Bharatpur to Agra
Have your breakfast and spend the morning at leisure. At noon, get to the
dinning room for a special Rajasthani lunch. Have your lunch and get ready
for a drive to Agra, 50 km from Bharatpur. En route. We get to visit
Fatehpur Sikri, the erstwhile capital of Mughal emperor Akbar. The city was
however desolated owing to inadequate supply of water. We then resume our
journey towards Agra. On arrival, your guide escorts you to Hotel Mughal
Sheraton or a hotel of the similar category. Take some rest and later get to
the activity area to have some fun. At nightfall, freshen up yourself and
get to the dinning hall for a delectable dinner. Stay overnight at the
hotel.
Day 6 : Agra to Bandhavgarh
Relish your breakfast. Eat up and get into the private cab that's waiting
for you outside the hotel. The travel guide leads you on your visit to the
Taj Mahal. Feast your eyes on splendid sights of the Taj as it catches the
morning rays of the sun. While you are still in a fanciful state and
contemplate the beauty, we move on to view the Agra Fort, a stronghold of
the Mughal dynasty. In the afternoon, the company's representative transfers
you to the railway station for your train to Umaria. Travel in the
air-conditioned sleeper class and enjoy a dinner on board.
Day 7 : Bandhavgarh
Arrive at Umaria railway station in the morning. Get into the private cab
waiting outside and a 1 hour's drive takes you to Bandhavagarh. Next, the
travel guide escorts you to the Nature Heritage or Tiger Trails wildlife
resort near the Bandhavgarh Sanctuary. Check in at the hotel, relax and get
refreshed. Have your lunch. The guide now takes you out to visit the park.
The national park lies nestled up in the Vindhya Hills and harbours species
like toger, leopard, spotted deer, sloth bear, wild oxen, sambar, nilgai,
barking deer, black buck etc. Eventually, the guide accompanies you back to
the hotel. Freshen up and move to the dining hall for a toothsome Indian
dinner. Stay overnight at the resort.
Day 8 & 9 : Bandhavgarh
Two full days are reserved for jungle safaris, nature walks and other
activities at the Bandhavgarh National Park. Get into the jeep or a canter.
Delve deeper into the forests, follow the tiger trails and keep your cameras
poised for sights that could leave you wondering for long. Your meals and
stay are organised at the resort. The travel assistant, however, is always
at your service.
Day 10 : Bandhavgarh to Kanha
The air-conditioned coach lies in wait for you as you relish your
breakfast. So, eat up and get ready for your drive to Kanha National Park,
255 km from Bandhavgarh. A 6 hours drive gets you to Kanha. On arrival, the
guide escorts you to Wild Chalet Resort where your stay has been scheduled.
Relax, take some rest and recharge your muscles. At nightfall, move to the
dinning hall for a toothsome dinner. Stay overnight at the Resort.
Day 11 & 12 : Kanha
Get up, wash and have your breakfast. Get ready for a jeep safari at Kanha
National Park. The park harbours 22 species of mammals and 200 species of
birds. Take your cameras with you before you hit the trail. Spot at close
quarters species like tiger, spotted deer, swamp deer, panther, gaur,
striped hyena, mouse deer, sloth bear etc.
Explore the jungle to its depth. Feast your eyes on the exotic flora and
get to the heart of wilderness as there's been reserved one more day for
you. Return to the resort. Get refreshed and have a delicious dinner in the
dinning room. Stay overnight at the resort.
Day 13 : Kanha to Pench
Wake up and get refreshed. Have a nutritious breakfast. Next, the travel
guide accompanies you on a drive to the Pench Tiger Reserve, snuggled up in
the Satpura Ranges. On arrival, your guide escorts you to Bagh Van where
your stay has been organised. Get into the resort, relax and take some rest.
Spend some time at your convenience. At nightfall, get to the dining room
for a delectable dinner. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 14 : Pench

Savour
an early morning breakfast and get ready for a chilling game viewing at the
Pench Tiger Reserve once again. Eventually the guide escorts you back to the
resort. Relax and have some rest. Get to the dinning room for an ethnic
Indian dinner. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 15 : Pench to Mumbai
Have an early morning breakfast as some more game viewing awaits you at the
Pench Tiger Reserve. Later, your guide accompanies you on a drive to Nagpur
for your flight to Mumbai in the evening. A 2½ hours air journey gets
you to Mumbai. A room has been arranged for your use here. So, get refreshed
and the travel manger escorts you to Mumbai's Sahar Airport.
Day 16 : Mumbai - London
We fly back to London arriving there past midnight.
