The
tour package ' Showcase Rajasthan' has been carefully optimised taking in
the quintessential aspects of Rajasthan along with some eye feasting in the
cities of Delhi and Agra. We have chosen the world renowned forts, palaces
and havelis of Rajasthan for you to explore. Rajasthan, a land of rites and
rituals, myths and legends and traditions and cuisines, has a great deal to
offer. Soak in the rustic charm in the picturesque villages of Rajasthan.
Feast your eyes on the pristine flora and fauna of the region. There's so
much to perceive and learn that by the time the trip ends, you'll already be
planning another visit.
Day 1 : London - Delhi
We leave Heathrow by British Ways flight in the morning. Arrive at Delhi's
IGI Airport around midnight. On arrival, the company's representative
escorts you to the Oberoi Maidens or a hotel of the similar category for
check in. Get a traditional welcome at the hotel. Freshen up and take some
rest to recharge your muscles for the days ahead.
Day 2 : Sightseeing of Delhi
Wake up, get refreshed and the the breakfast is served. Eat up and be ready
for a sightseeing trip of the city. The air-conditioned coach is waiting
outside. The travel manager accompanies you on the trip. Sightseeing
includes Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Lotus Temple, Humayun's Tomb, Raj Ghat,
India Gate etc. In the evening, take a leisurely stroll through the bazaars
of Chandni Chowk. Later, your guide escorts you back to the hotel. Freshen
up and get to the dining hall where an ethnic Indian dinner is ready for
you. Have your dinner, take a walk through the gardens and stay overnight at
the hotel.
Day 3 : Delhi - Jaipur
Relish a nutritious breakfast and get ready for a morning drive to Jaipur,
260 km from Delhi. The A/C coach is waiting outside the hotel. Get into the
the cab and the travel assistant accompanies you on the drive. En route, you
visit a Sikh Gurudwara and a Hindu Temple. The journey continues and after a
4-5 hours drive we arrive at Jaipur. So, you have now entered into the
legendary territory of Rajasthan. Next, the travel assistant accompanies you
to the Alsisar Havel, stately mansion built by the rulers of Alsisar.
Freshen up as the a delectable Rajasthani lunch lies in wait for you. Later,
explore the exquisite traditional interiors of the haveli. At nightfall, get
to the exclusive dinning room for an ethnic Rajasthan dinner. Stay overnight
at the hotel.
Day 4 : Sightseeing of Jaipur
Get up, wash and relish your breakfast. Next, get into the private cab that
waits outside. The travel assistant leads you on a full day city tour of
Jaipur. The pink city beckons you with its stately and imposing forts,
palaces and stunning sights. Visit such famous attractions as the City
Palace, the Jantar Mantar Observatory and of course the Hawa Mahal. A regal
elephant ride at the Amber Fort is also in store. Feast your eyes upon the
royal antiquities at the Sawai Man Singh Museum. Return to the hotel. Relax
and get refreshed. Your toothsome dinner is ready in the dinning room. Have
your dinner and stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 5 : Jaipur - Ranthambore
The private chauffeur driven car is waiting outside as you savour your
breakfast. So, be ready and get into the cab. The travel guide leads you
towards Ranthambore, 130 km from Jaipur. On arrival, your guide escorts you
to Tiger Den, a popular wildlife resort near the national park. Relax and
get refreshed. The delectable lunch is ready. Have your lunch and then the
guide takes you out for a game viewing at the Ranthambore National Park.
View species like tiger, leopard, chinkara, gazelle, striped hyena, jackal
and sambar at close quarters. Later return to the resort. Take some rest and
and have your sumptuous dinner. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 6 : Peharsar ( Near Bharatpur)
Wake up as there await some more game viewings in the national park of
Ranthambore. Have your breakfast and get into the cab. Enjoy sights of some
of the most exotic wildlife species. Next, the travel assistant accompanies
you on a drive to the village of Peharsar, 15 miles from Bharatpur. On
arrival, the guide escorts you to the Chandra Mahal Haveli, an elegant royal
mansion. Take some rest, refresh and have your lunch. Explore the carvings
and decorations inside the haveli. Later, in afternoon, set out to soak in
the rustic charm that awaits you in the village. Houses built of mud and
straw alongwith the sight of village folks in their colourful traditional
costumes are a sight to behold. Elderly people lying outside their huts and
the women fetching water from the nearby well - a sight to remember. Later
return to the hotel. Freshen up and get to the dinning hall for a delectable
Rajasthani dinner. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 7 : Bharatpur - Agra
Have an early morning breakfast and get ready to move to Bharatpur, just 15
miles from Peharsar. On arrival, the travel manager guides you on a cycle
rickshaw safari through the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary the harbours around 300
species of birds. Next, we resume our drive towards Agra, 50 km from
Bharatpur, visiting Fatehpur Sikri en route. The deserted city was built by
emperor Akbar to mark the Mughal supremacy in India. After a short drive,
you find yourself in Agra, the city of love. The travel assistant now
escorts you to Hotel Mughal Sheraton or a hotel of the similar category.
Take your ease and freshen up. Later, get to the well- appointed dining hall
for your delicious dinner. Stay overnight at the hotel.
Day 8 : Agra - Delhi
Wake up and wash as the breakfast is ready. The private cab is waiting
outside the hotel. Get into the cab and the travel guide leads you towards
the Taj Mahal, a love story in itself. Next, the guide takes you to the Agra
Fort. In the afternoon we head to Delhi, 203 km from Agra. A 4-5 hours drive
gets you to Delhi. A room has been arranged for your use. Later, the travel
manager escorts you to the airport for your flight to London just after
midnight.
Day 9 : Delhi - London
We fly back to the UK.
